How long does it take to install a rainwater harvesting system?

What is the cost of the average system?
The biggest cost is the tank. Prices range between 200 to $5000. What you buy is a one time setup, done correctly will last a lifetime. It really is money well spent.
What time does maintenance is involved?
Not really. For example, dirt naturally settles in the bottom of a rain tank over time. Keep your gutters reasonably clean, which keeps leaves from clogging it up. Every now and then take a close look at your system around the fittings on the bottom to determine if you have a slow leak. If you have a leak gently retightened.

The most important factor is a large, high quality storage tank; storage size must be sufficient to get you through the dry summer months. The drier the summers and the higher the summer use – the larger the storage tank required.
