50 water conscious, Burien, Wa, residents, developed aRain  Water Harvesting Class  50  higher level of fundamental rain harvesting skills and  are now ready to plan and install rain collection systems, on their properties, to conserve water, add convenience and reduce water costs.

The event, hosted by Huckleberry Gardens on Saturday 9/7/24 covered such topics, as, sourcing available funding, learning how much rain falls on the property each year,  considering using entire roof areas for rain capture and the benefit of native plants.

This class was the first offered by Huckleberry Gardens, more in depth demonstrations of planning for less water and higher utility rates, will follow, including, site prep, sourcing materials, hiring the right service providers and understanding how to manage the abundance of the free, water resources available.
