Time to: Think Out Side The Tap
Rain Water Harvesting Class gave 50 water conscious, Burien, Wa, residents, developed a higher level of fundamental rain harvesting skills and are now ready to plan and install rain collection systems, on their properties, to conserve water, add convenience and reduce water costs.
The event, hosted by Huckleberry Gardens on Saturday 9/7/24 covered such topics, as, sourcing available funding, learning how much rain falls on the property each year, considering using entire roof areas for rain capture and the benefit of native plants.
Presented by Product Water LLC, the areas leading rain collection experts, the Rain Harvesting Class also covered:

Safely collecting larger volumes of water with out overflow or misquotes -
Managing light, moderate and heavy rains -
Managing watersupply using elevation and low pressure drip -
Using gravaty to store water where needed, moving away from downspouts -
Choosing rain tank size and dimensions, as wellas, sourcing materials
